Job Title: Perl Web Developer Position in Washington DC Metro Area
Description
Our client is in need of Perl Web Developer for a 6 month contract position with possibility of permanent hire after the contract ends. It is located in Washington DC Metro Area. Job Description: Development of high profile web sites in a Linux environment. Duties: Develop web sites in a Linux/Perl environment using current accepted best practices. Troubleshoot and debug issues with existing web sites. Interact with customers to understand requirements and issues and negotiate solutions and implementation specifics. Required Skills: In-depth experience with Perl Experience with XSL and XML Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Experience with Oracle, SQL, and JDBC 5 yrs professional software development experience Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Strong troubleshooting skills Demonstrated initiative, customer orientation and team work competencies Ability to communicate technical issues with non-technical people Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills Preferred Skills: Knowledge of Content Management Systems Experience with Redhat Linux, Tomcat, MySQL, AJAX, CGI, and SEO PART II.
