| Job Description:
While supervising a team of project managers, the successful candidate will plan and manage medium-to-large sized systems projects of moderate-to-high complexity. You will ensure project results contribute positive business value and meet agreed-upon scope, cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or quality assurance
• Eight years of previous experience working with technical applications and/or information systems, including five years experience in managing information technology projects
• Extensive knowledge of project management processes, systems development methods, organizational change management concepts and business process improvement methods
• In-depth knowledge of project planning techniques and automated project planning tools
• Experience managing projects in the insurance industry is strongly preferred.
• Project Management Institute (PMI) certification, two years of supervisory experience and an advanced degree are also preferred.
• Strong project management skills and business judgment are necessary.
• The ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and to make effective presentations and communicate technical concepts to non-technical clients are also necessary.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are important.
