The artists will work with the leads, senior artists, existing concept artists, and will help convert ideas into graphical concepts for the creation of production assets on various projects. Successful applicant(s) will work well within an online team environment (telecommute) and be open to ideas and input of others.
Nest Egg Studios Inc is looking to expand our consultant base by sourcing to help push the development of our new 'social game/dating network visual prototype'. Specifically we are looking for those that **understand the risk , have the passion and thrive working in an virtual startup environment, willing to work for equity to push new development in a exciting untapped space in the game + entertainment market !** .

Nest Egg’s strategy is based on our deep understanding of adult gamer psychology, and how users interact online, build relationships, socialize, play and explore. Interactive media that offers user created content, constructive gameplay and high degrees of customization, with the flexibility of convergence have incredible appeal to multiple markets, particularly women. This, combined with cutting edge technology and original content, positions Nest Egg Studios to quickly become an industry leader.
Responsibilities
The role of the artist will have several areas of emphasis:
* characters
* storyboarding
* user-interfaces
* PR /marketing materials
Experience:
* The artist should have an expert eye for perspective, color, lighting, and atmosphere and the ability to use these skills to properly portray the mood of the concept.
* Must be dependable, a quick learner, and able to follow directions.
* You must have an exceptional portfolio, which displays your talents.
* The role requires strong communication skills and keen attitude to get involved with vision and design.
* You should possess exceptional classical art skills - preferably in mixed media - as well as excellent computer art proficiency.
* Storyboarding skills would also be useful
Skills:
* Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
* Excellent people and team skills
* Basic art training
* Independent problem solving capability and willingness to work on own initiatives
* Familiarity with 2D computer paint packages, such as Photoshop or Painter.
* Excellent transition skills
* Portfolio samples that show 2d concept ability is required.
Education:
(preferred) undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in an art-related field.
