| Job Title: Project Manager |
| Description |
| While supervising a team of project managers, the successful candidate will plan and manage medium-to-large sized systems projects of moderate-to-high complexity. You will ensure project results contribute positive business value and meet agreed-upon scope, cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or quality assurance
Eight years of previous experience working with technical applications and/or information systems, including five years experience in managing information technology projects
Extensive knowledge of project management processes, systems development methods, organizational change management concepts and business process improvement methods
In-depth knowledge of project planning techniques and automated project planning tools
Experience managing projects in the insurance industry is strongly preferred.
Project Management Institute (PMI) certification, two years of supervisory experience and an advanced degree are also preferred.
Strong project management skills and business judgment are necessary.
The ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and to make effective presentations and communicate technical concepts to non-technical clients are also necessary.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are important.
