| We are a small, well-funded, rapidly growing company looking to hire great developers. We're looking for a senior level PHP/MYSQL developers to help us build high quality, extensible, and scalable code. We have a lot of fun, exciting projects, and we're looking for smart people who get the job done.
Qualified candidates will have at least 3-4 years of industry experience working on web and interactive media development projects.
Knowledge of PHP, PERL, HTML, Javascript, MySQL, etc. are desired as is any general experience with a wide range of web development technologies and frameworks.
Previous industry experience in Digital Media, Web Development/Design, or Interactive Media is ideal.
The Senior Developer will be responsible for
requirements gathering and analysis, design, documentation (APIs, Use Cases, etc.). Candidates must have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
DUTIES:
* Participates in a team of (initially) four to six programmers
* Programs in PHP/MYSQL and some PERL to develop and maintain existing
systems such as CMS, Ad Server, Statistics reporting/logging systems,
and client reporting tools.
* Assists with maintenance of several large networks of
GNU/Linux-based application, database, and development servers based
on open-source software
* Updates job knowledge by keeping abreast of industry developments,
participating in educational opportunities, reading professional
publications, and maintaining personal networks
* Documents software and systems
REQUIRED SKILLS:
* PHP
* MySQL
* Perl
* Significant Experience managing teams of developers.
* Experience managing offsite development teams.
* HTML/CSS (hand-coding in dynamic web programming applications only!)
* XML
* Experience with other scripting and programming languages (Bash,
Python, C, etc.) a plus!
* Proficiency in *NIX command line and with common *NIX tools
* Usage of Subversion/CVS in a complex development environment
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Superior time management skills
* Software development cycle fundamentals
* Object-oriented design (OOD) experience
* Software debugging
Compensation:Cash plus equity inline with experience
